I co-facilitate an ongoing psychodynamic women's therapy group for women interested in deepening their understanding of themselves and how they relate to others. Women in the group bring a variety of life experiences and personal goals. Members share what they are going through in their lives currently as well as their in-the-moment feelings and reactions to what is going on in the group, to gain a deeper understanding of their own feelings and reactions to others. Members find that this sharing leads to richer and more meaningful experiences in relationships, both inside and outside the group.
Group members grow by deepening self-awareness in order to make emotional and behavioral changes; improving relational skills by learning about patterns that work and those that get in the way; reducing anxiety, depression, and isolation; increasing self-confidence; and getting support in navigating loss and other life challenges. Current members' ages range from late 20’s to early 50’s. The group meets in Berkeley on Thursday nights from 6:30-8pm. The fee is $50 per session with some sliding scale slots available.
